Indian Amla (Nellikka) Chammanthi

INGREDIENTS

Nellikka,gooseberry/Indian Amla- 5 Nos
Shallots/Kunjulli- 7 Nos
Kanthari /green chilly,vattal mulaku-a few,as required
Salt- to taste
Coconut oil- as required

HOW TO PREPARE

Remove the seeds of the gooseberry ,set aside.
In a mixy/motor and pestle/ammikkallu, crush these gooseberry pieces adding kanthari/geen chilly .
Add this crushed gooseberry into a bowl.
Add required salt and coconut oil.
Mix well with a spoon.
Nellikka kuthichathachathu/Nellikka chathachathu is ready.
Serve this with hot rice.

Tips

Bird’s eye chilli/Kanthari is more tasty though you could substitute with green chilly or dry red chilly.
Don’t use other oil,use coconut oil to enhance an authentic flavor.
Adjust the quantity of chilly according to your taste.
